Islamic Clothing for Islamic Women
According to Saudi Arabia’s strict interpretation of Islamic Law on Muslim clothing, black robes is required to be used for Islamic women to cover themselves from head to toe in public. Therefore, Islamic clothing is a must in public for Islamic women. However, they are allowed to wear whatever they want in the privacy of their own house and bedrooms. Most of the sexy pajamas, sexy sheer lingerie, sexy underwear and as long as sexy undergarments are popular.
The boycott was launched on Tuesday by about 50 women who gathered in the Red Seaport of Jeddah at the Al-Bidaya Breast-feeding Resource and Women’s Awareness Centre, which is run by Modie Batterjee, one of the boycott organizers.
The aim is to push for implementation of a law that has been on the books since 2006 whish says only female staff can be employed in women’s apparel store.
The law has never been put into effect, partly due to hardliners in the religious establishment who oppose employing women in missed environments like malls, where religious police are always on the lookout to keep men and women from interacting. Source: The Star
Throughout the boycott campaign, women are encouraged to shop only at the country’s few women-only lingerie stores. Most of the boutiques are usually stand-alone or located in shopping malls that have women-only department. Basically, these shops do not have window to ensure passing men unable to peep in. With this only women are able to enjoying the freedom to actually try their intimate lingerie on.
