Received any letter from LHDN informing that your are not allowed to claim back overpaid income tax as your account did not indicate any figure available for the claiming?
Recently, my friend received a letter from LHDN.

“akaun tuan tidak menunjukkan apa-apa baki kredit yang boleh dibayar balik”

I’m scratching my head and looking at the letter, WTH does it mean? I could even feel more comfortable if they send a letter to tell me that I have been imposed penalty due to the underpaid income tax and attached with supporting documents for clarification. At least, it makes me feel more confidence that they are doing their job in the right way! Else, the statement seem like telling you the account tiada apa-apa baki kredit yang boleh dibayar balik and no need to payback any underpaid income tax. The account shows credit and debit are perfectly tally, no extra, no less! How confidence are you with such a statement?

how to apply the income tax
I am a widowed pensioner of a governtment servant for 35 years. My husband passed away last year in August ’09.
Looking through his files I find a letter from the LHDN Malaysia,Johor Baru branch.The department has to pay my husband Rm669.46 in 2002. I wonder if I can claim this money, as I am now a widow. I do not know how to go about it. His Name is Bala Raman a/l Ragavan Pillai.His Ref no :OG 00384775-06(0).I hope somebody will read this comment and direct me.Thank you. Irudiamary.
saya mahu claim balik baki lebih bayar pada tahun 2008 RM.1200 sampai sekarang saya belum terima apa apa bayaran balik itu dan juga baki lebih bayar pada tahun 2009 RM.500 pun saya tidak terima apa bayaran balik saya mahu tanyalah di mana silap saya.
I recently received a letter exactly the same as the above claiming there is no credit amount but in actual fact there is an overpayment after filling the form and I have a ‘pengesahan penerimaan’ showing there is a ‘cukai terlebih bayar’ amount. How come I still receive such letter? Please explain and do the needful.
FYI cukai terlebih bayar is the tax amount that is deducted in your payslip monthly esp gov servant.
