Final Reminder! Have You Claimed Your Cash Rebate For Fuel Subsidies At Pos Office? Dateline 31 March 2009

Have you claimed your cash rebate (fuel subsidies) from Pos Office Malaysia? Hurry up! The dateline will be on 31 March 2009! Pos Office Malayisa is an agent who has been assigned by government for disbursement of the cash rebate for eligible private vehicle owners.

I had claimed mine for total RM775 (RM625 + RM150) last week. RM775.00!!! This is good enough for me to budget for next trip at either Pulau Redang or Pulau Tioman! How bout you?

Who qualify to claim?

• Malaysian vehicle owners – Renew road tax from 1 Apr 2008 – 31 May 2008

• Malaysian vehicle owners – Purchase or renew road tax from 1 Jun 2008 – 31 Mar 2009

Vehicle categories and subsidy amount?

• Motorcycles up to 250cc – RM150

• Motorcars up to 2000cc – RM625

• Pick-up trucks up to 2500cc – RM625

Claim method?

• By Vechicle Owner

a) Claim cash at Pos Office Malaysia

b) Claim rebate through online

• By Third Party

Claim rebate at Pos Office Malaysia (Either bank-in or money order for vechicle owner)

Checklist?

• Bring along your Mykad (not the old IC)

• Road tax is not neccessary but make sure it was renewed within the stated period

• Vehicle registration card is not neccessary
