CIMB Petronas Mastercard Credit Card

CIMB Petronas Mastercard is one of my favorite credit card as the features are suit for me. I will say the benefits offered to card owner are straight forward. In another word, it means lesser ‘Terms and Conditions’. It worth to spend few minutes to learn more about the card to save more money online. Attached herewith some statement of card account for the past six months (Aug 2008 – Jan 2009) to show how much I have saved my money using CIMB Petronas Mastercard credit card. Average total card usage per month was about RM1600++.

1) Statement Date of Card Account: 17 Jan 2009
Rebate – Other retail purchases = RM 6.05
Rebate – Purchases at Petronas = RM 7.53
Total Rebate = RM 13.58

2) Statement Date of Card Account: 17 Dec 2008
Rebate – Other retail purchases = RM 14.33
Rebate – Purchases at Petronas = RM 9.72
Total Rebate = RM 24.05

3) Statement Date of Card Account: 17 Nov 2008
Rebate – Other retail purchases = RM 4.66
Rebate – Purchases at Petronas = RM 12.27
Rebate – Petronas promotion = RM 6.13
Total Rebate = RM 23.06

4) Statement Date of Card Account: 17 Oct 2008
Rebate – Other retail purchases = RM 5.76
Rebate – Purchases at Petronas = RM 11.21
Total Rebate = RM 16.97

5) Statement Date of Card Account: 17 Sep 2008
Rebate – Other retail purchases = RM 4.77
Rebate – Purchases at Petronas = RM 10.60
Total Rebate = RM 15.37

6) Statement Date of Card Account: 17 Aug 2008
Rebate – Other retail purchases = RM 5.75
Rebate – Purchases at Petronas = RM 13.21
Total Rebate = RM 18.96

GRAND TOTAL REBATE = RM 111.99 (6 MONTHS FROM AUG 08 – JAN 09)

Suggestion:

Debit all your utility bills, regular monthly investment for unit trust, payment for insurance premiums and whatrever bill which may pay using credit card into your credit card account. Because, all of these are entitled for rebate 0.5%!
